Mission Statement:

To provide individuals the products and resources to maintain and build emotional comfort and wellness during adverse times.

No, I did not win an Emmy. However, my good friend Wendy received an Emmy for her work on a documentary through ESPN. One month after becoming incorporated I traveled to NJ to have Wendy take me to NYC for my first marketing trip on a very cold day in February of 2004. Wendy took the statue off the mantel and gave it to me to pose with as many of her friends would do when they came over to her house. I remember her saying, “This is a momentous occasion (your first marketing trip) that needs to be documented with the Emmy. It was an inspiring way to begin this amazing journey. Some day it will have MY name on it!

Greetings,

Many things have transpired at You’re Entitled, Inc since it was launched in January of 04.  Heading into its 5th year with more products, services and energy then ever before.  I have been very busy with the business using my survivorship to enhance our services and reaching out to the recently diagnosed individuals.  Working with the American Cancer Society as a Patient Navigator has sharpened my references and created more ideas on ways to help out cancer patients.  Please browse the UR Their Support and see the new section on UR Stronger than you know section.  Here you will find many great tips on getting prepared and weigh laying some worries and concerns many people have when diagnosed.  As a  navigator I travel from one treatment center to another though out the week.  I have met the most inspiring and courageous people over the last year.  I find that with all the information one is given when recently diagnosed, sometimes all they really want is to talk to a survivor.  This rings through with most of my patients.  I begin by telling them I am a survivor and I have sat in their seat as well.  I then encourage them to ask any questions they may have had and hoped to get answered before they go home. I have been providing “Chemo Classes” this is a prep class prior to treatment.  To give the patient some idea of what to expect.  As soon as I feel I have the routine down, I meet someone that truly throws me for a loop.  There was Dorothy who had nasal cancer and literally had her nose removed.  Her biggest complaint was that her top lip is permanently numb and drinking from a cup is difficult.  On a shopping trip to Walmart I found some sippy cups that don’t spill so easily for Dorothy.  Each time I do a wig fitting for a patient I fear that I will not have one that they will like and we always seem to find one.  The American Cancer Society offers free wigs and recently I have started my own Non for profit wig bank called Get Wiggy With It, Inc.  I am in the process of building the website and you should be able to contribute on line and get the latest information on the up and coming fund raising event I have planned.

As you can see I have been working diligently the past few years and continue to keep the candle burning at both ends.  I started this business to help individuals get a leg up on a diagnosis and most importantly to take this opportunity to get to know themselves more clearly.  There is nothing more adverse then a cancer diagnosis to bring a person to their knees.  While you’re on your knees look around.  Your prospective can be quite telling!  Learn to see the signs of the Universe all around you.  Count how many times in one day you smile.  I know this seems difficult when you’re overwhelmed at best with a cancer diagnosis, but I tell you if you make an effort to smile at least 5 times a day, each time you smile you’ll loose count after 5! Take sometime for yourself and browse through my website.  If you’re on the website to select a gift for someone you love who is going through cancer treatment I’m sure you’ll find the perfect gift.  If you are going through it yourself catch up on some of my tips they can be very helpful, and splurge a little on yourself and order a Chemo Caddy.  UR Entitled!

Be Well
